First of, let me give credit for all the amazing images you see in this post to MUA Channing Carlisle (channingjudith.wix.com) and to hair stylist Adrienne Wallace (check her out at Rockstarz Salon). Their work was fabulous, and made my job so much easier. So if your looking for some bold looks, go see them!
Now, we went into this shoot looking for some big dramatic shots, which for me meant two things; gelled lighting and fog! This was the first time I've ever incorporated them into a shoot, but it turned out so well.
To start things off, we got some clean and natural headshots of our lovely models, to showcase how naturally beautiful these girls are. Lighting setup was a classic clamshell with a 32" softbox and reflector, and a simple piece of foamboard as a backdrop. An easy setup, but effective:
Once we had the safe shots out of the way, it was time for the fun stuff. Channing and Adrienne turned the style up to 11 and we kicked out shot after shot of our models. When the hardest part of the shoot is deciding which to keep then you know its been a good one!
(Doesn't her skin just glow?)
Take a closer look at that eye makeup, it is stunning!
Finally, we were on too the main event. The fog machine was kicked on, the lights were gelled, and the models were ready to release their inner Tyra Banks! And when I say they pulled it off, they really pulled it off.
Is that not stunning?
Why did I not buy a fog machine sooner?
This was by far my favorite shoot. Everyone was so excited for this shoot and with music blaring and all of us dancing, well me dancing at least, time flew by.
So ladies, if your looking for a killer makeup artist and hair stylist in Broken Bow, you know who to call. And if your looking for a photographer to show it all off, let me know! Stay tuned for more, because we have plenty more stylized shoots coming soon!
